July 5th small storms around the cities

It was a really fun day to be outside with a camera. I was out working, so this wasn't really a storm chase, but I didn't let that stop me from grabbing a few photos of the sky!


A pretty arcus cloud, or a weak shelf cloud up by Brooklyn Park

A pretyty decent storm over the north metro I was wishing I could go get a closer look at. It actually spun up a brief tornado over coon lake!

Even this small updraft dwarfs the state capitol building

A pretty storm east of Bloomington in the evening, I followed it for a while and shot a few photos as it died off, but still was able to reflect some nice colors.
